This is the first time I've gone to Pet Fashion Week, and I have to say it was more over-the-top than I could have expected. There two floors of exhibitors ranging from dog collar makers to pet furniture manufacturers to videovampires, a company that produced professional videos for any type of furry companion. Almost everything was upscale, though I did see a guy selling rubber Croc shoes accessories with dog faces on them.
Most of the fashion was for smaller dogs, but there were big dogs clothes too, as well as treats, toys, you name it. I was also shocked at how many pet publications are out there now. Who knew there was a Pet Boutique & Spa magazine?
The people ranged from middle-aged San Francisco hippies to the kind of girls you'd expect to see on the set of Legally Blonde, a sponsor of the runway show. It seemed like a lot of the vendors were small mom-and-pop operations, but there were some big names, such as Sherpa.
I lucked into front row seats (nevermind how) to the runway show, so check out my Pet Fashion Week photo gallery. I added captions and more pictures for those of you who saw it before during my live @ coverage. I've also added movie links to the Isle of Dog Creative Styling Showcase, because you just have to see it to believe it.

Whoa. I didn't know this existed. Thanks for making yourself known to us. Cool site.
